Covid-19 Safety Plan for the 'Ranger Station Art Gallery'
In compliance with WorkSafe/BCCDC guidelines, the Kent-Harrison Arts Council (KHAC)
has developed the following safety plan for re-opening the 'Ranger Station Gallery'.
1st Level 'Elimination':
The Office area, due to social distancing will be limited to a single person. If two people are in the office area, they should wear masks.
The Gallery area will be limited to two persons or one household group. Notices explaining the 'Occupancy Limits' and the 'Help Prevent the spread...' will be posted outside.
The exterior and interior of the Gallery will be posted with ‘2-meter social distancing' signage.
The office phone number will be listed at the entrance.
With the exception of the Artist's work, all items will be removed from display.
The Gallery will not accept cash – only debit/credit purchases.
The washroom will be closed to visitors.
2nd Level 'Engineering':
A plexi-glass barrier is installed at the Office counter.
3rd Level 'Administrative':
The AIR/Volunteer, prior to opening and closing the Gallery, will be required to clean and disinfect used office equipment (i.e. phones, Square, computer and photocopier), light switches, security panel, plexi-glass panel, doorknobs, etc.
The opening of the door or windows is recommended to increase the circulation of outdoor air as much as possible.
-supply the Office area with hand sanitizers, disinfectant, gloves and masks and AIR/Volunteer should ensure the proper use of materials supplied.
-post social distancing signage outside and in the Gallery.
-install a “Visitor Hand Sanitizing Station” immediately inside the front door of the Gallery. Visitors will be asked to use it upon entry.
The AIR/Volunteer has the right to refuse entry to a visitor who, by entering, would exceed the occupancy limits. (see occupancy numbers set out in 1st Level’ above).
Visitors will be asked if they read the 'Help Prevent the Spread' notice posted outside. A copy of the notice will also be posted at the counter.
If the AIR/Volunteer answers ‘Yes’ to any of the screening questions, they should not be monitoring the Gallery.
The AIR/Volunteer will request/record contact information (name/phone number) from all visitors in case there is a request from the BC Health Authority for follow-up information/contact tracing.
If the AIR/Volunteers have concerns, protocols may require changing. Areas of concern are to be addressed by the Board, our policy updated as needed.
